Karnataka to host IFWJ plenary session in Febuary 2016

The 30th delegates session of the Indian Federation of Working Journalists(IFWJ) will be held at Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday, 13th and 14th February 2016. Comrade H.B. Madan Gowda, IFWJ Secretary, International Relations, has set up an organizing committee of the Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) for the conference.



The Karnataka Chief Minister, Sri Siddharamaya, will open the three-day session. The railway station is Banglore and also Yashwantpur junction, both inside Benguluru city (within 12 kms). You will be taken by buses to the delegates’ camp. Those of  you interested in visiting areas around may plan visit to the pilgrim town of Tirupati by bus, Mysore city, Tipu Sultan’s Srirangapattanam etc.

The session will elect the new working committee (as per Rule 22(b) of the IFWJ Constitution) with four Vice Presidents, Six Secretaries (one women and one headquarter) one Treasurer and 12 members of the Working Committee. The IFWJ President (as per Rule 22(d) of the IFWJ Constitution) will nominate a Secretary General.
