Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir Celebrates Nityananda Trayodashi

Lord Nityananada the Greatest Friend- Narasimha Dasa

Date 20th Feb 2016 “Lord Nityananda is the greatest friend of humanity” said Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa, Senior Vice President of the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir. He was speaking at the occasion of Nityananda Prabhu’s appearance day celebrations conducted by Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir here in Delhi. Nityananda Prabhu appeared in the year 1473 in West Bengal. He is an incarnation of Lord Balarama who came with Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - who is Krishna Himself - to establish the Sankirtana movement.

Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir celebrated the appearance day of Lord Nityananda in a grand event held at the community center of the Asian Games Village in New Delhi on Saturday, 20 February 2016. Hundreds of donors, devotees and associates took part in the celebrations.

The programme began in the evening at 5:30 pm with lively Sankirtana by the devotees of the temple in which all the visitors enthusiastically participated in singing Hare Krishna Maha Mantra together. Then the bathing ceremony (Abhisheka) of the Deities of Lord Chaitanya and Lord Nityananda was performed. This was followed by a lecture on Lord Nityananda by His Grace Suvyakta Narasimha Dasa. He said, “Lord Nityananda is extremely kind to all the fallen souls of this age, Kali Yuga. He revealed that by merely engaging in congregational singing and chanting of the Hare Krishna Mantra one can become peaceful and happy. He is thus the greatest friend of all souls.”

Then all the assembled devotees were served a Prasadam feast. The Nityananda Jayanti festival which was for the first time celebrated in Delhi by Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir was highly successful, bringing spiritual bliss to hundreds of devotees in New Delhi.
